THE POTTER - THE HUMBLE POTTERY COLLECTION Jody Tippett has been an applied artist for 15 years. Her work experience and formal studies have included stained glass, interior and architectural design, as well as web and print graphics. Applying this experience with a new freedom of expression in a new medium, Jody moved to Kamloops with her husband and son to apprentice under local Master Potter - Ann Eggleton and operates a full-time production pottery studio out of her home. Her business, dubbed "living wells studio", offers unique functional stoneware and decorative pieces. ARTIST view Pottery is a way of presenting abstract thoughts through form. It is a selective re-creation of life into something physical - a work of art - according to thoughts on reality, humanity, aesthetics and other matters. Pottery is a living art. And life is change. A description of pottery can never be the ultimate authority on the subject, because in the writing of it, the limitations are automatically set within the snapshot of time in which it is written. We can not give a complete picture of how it started, or how it developed over time, or how it will evolve as the pottery world evolves.
